We’ve been working with the Tesco brand expression team (along with various other departments) for several years now. Much of this has been on internal comms, but we’ve also contributed some highly visible wordage. Our son once introduced me to one of his friends as being ‘in the pun business’, and this is the evidence. A series of ‘make you smile’ lines that bomb up and down the nation’s motorways on Tesco lorry sides, and a couple of one-liners on the supermarket’s 10p ‘bags for life’. The ‘Many happy returns‘ line nods to Tesco's 100th anniversary celebrations, as well as encouraging long-term reuse.
